Introduction
Overview
Krewpad is a Solana launchpad where every coin is a ship with rules. You launch on a Meteora bonding curve, arm the coin with articles (rules enforced on every transfer), and sail until the curve fills and the coin makes port.
- One signature to launch. About 0.057 SOL all in: a 0.02 SOL launch fee plus account rent.
- Rules that can't be dodged. The coin is a Token-2022 mint whose transfer hook is Krewpad's program,
krew-hooks. Solana runs it on every transfer, through any wallet, DEX or aggregator. - Rules for the voyage, not forever. When the curve fills, Meteora revokes the hook and migrates the liquidity to a locked pool. From then on the coin is a plain token.
- Captains get paid. 60% of every trading fee goes to the coin's creator, in SOL, claimable at any time.
No custody
The site never holds keys, SOL or tokens. Every launch, trade and claim is a transaction you sign in your own wallet. Krewpad's program cannot move anyone's tokens: a transfer hook can only say yes or no to a transfer.
The voyage
Launching a coin
Open the Shipyard, give the ship a name, a ticker and a logo, pick its articles, and set sail. One transaction does everything:
The coin
| Supply | 1,000,000,000, fixed. Mint authority is revoked at launch |
| Decimals | 6 |
| Program | Token-2022 with a transfer hook (krew-hooks) |
| Metadata | name, ticker, logo, description and socials, on IPFS; immutable |
What it costs
| SOL | |
|---|---|
| Launch fee (90% Krewpad, 10% Meteora) | 0.02 |
| Account rent (mint, pool, vaults, metadata, articles) | ≈ 0.037 |
| Network fee | ≈ 0.0001 |
| Total | ≈ 0.057 |
Nothing is fixed after launch: not the name, not the articles, not the curve.
Trading on the curve
While a ship is on the curve it trades against Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve (DBC): buying moves SOL into the pool and tokens out; selling does the reverse. There's no order book and no counterparty to wait for.
Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve. The pool opens at a 28 SOL market cap and makes port at 420 SOL, when about 85 SOL is aboard.
The trade panel quotes against the pool before you sign: what you receive, the minimum after slippage, and the fee. It also checks the coin's articles locally, so a trade that the hook would reject is flagged before your wallet ever sees it.
The anti-snipe fee
Every ship opens with a 50% trading fee that decays to 1% over its first 60 seconds. Bots that buy in the launch slot pay half their buy in fees; people a minute later pay 1%.
Every ship, buys and sells. Decay is exponential, set in Krewpad's config.
After port
Once the curve fills, the coin trades in a Meteora DAMM v2 pool and on every aggregator (Jupiter routes it). The token page links straight there.
Articles
The articles
Articles are the rules a ship sails under. The captain picks them at launch; nobody can change them afterwards. krew-hooks enforces them on every transfer: buys, sells, and wallet-to-wallet sends.
Token-2022 calls the hook inside the same transaction. If it returns an error, the whole transfer reverts.
| Article | What it does | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Boarding nets | For the first seconds after launch, a tighter cap on any single transfer | up to 1 hour; cap 0.1–100% |
| Max Tx | No single transfer larger than a share of supply | 0.1–100% of supply |
| Max Wallet | No wallet holds more than a share of supply. The curve itself is exempt, so selling is never capped | 0.1–100% of supply |
| Anti-MEV | A wallet that received tokens in a slot (bought or was sent them) can't sell in that same slot | on / off |
The anti-snipe fee is not an article: it is the curve's own fee and every ship has it.
Presets
| Preset | Articles |
|---|---|
| Fair winds (default) | 60 s nets at 0.25%, Max Tx 1%, Max Wallet 2%, Anti-MEV |
| Ironclad | 120 s nets at 0.2%, Max Tx 0.5%, Max Wallet 1.5%, Anti-MEV |
| Sandwich-proof | Anti-MEV only |
| Open sea | none |
When an article bites
The transfer reverts: nothing moves and you pay only the network fee. The site explains which article stopped it:
- Max Tx: split the trade, or wait for the boarding nets to lift.
- Max Wallet: buy less.
- Same-slot sell: wait a slot (≈ 400 ms).
Anti-MEV
A sandwich bot buys just before your trade and sells just after it, in the same slot. With Anti-MEV on, it can't: krew-hooks keeps a small ring of the wallets that received the coin in the current slot, and a wallet in that ring can't sell until the next slot.
A slot is ~400 ms. krew-hooks remembers up to 8 receiving wallets per slot, per coin, buyers and wallets sent tokens alike.
The ring counts every wallet that receives the coin in the slot, by buying or by transfer, so a bot can't buy with one wallet, hand the tokens to a second and sell from that one. It holds 8 wallets per slot: a ninth receiver in the same slot waits for the next one (≈ 400 ms).
The voyage
Making port
When about 85 SOL is aboard (a 420 SOL market cap), the curve is full and the ship makes port:
- Meteora's bonding-curve program revokes the mint's transfer hook. The articles stop applying, permanently.
- The SOL and the remaining tokens move into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool at a 1% fee.
- The pool's LP is locked forever, split between the captain and Krewpad; both can still claim its trading fees.
- transfer hook: krew-hooks
- articles enforced on every transfer
- trades on Meteora DBC
- transfer hook: revoked
- no rules, no extra compute
- trades on Meteora DAMM v2, LP locked; routed by Jupiter
Migration is permissionless: once the curve is full, anyone can send the migration transaction. Meteora's keepers usually do it within moments.
Money
Fees
Every trade on the curve pays the curve's fee, in SOL: 50% decaying to 1% over the first minute, then 1%.
| Fee | Amount | To |
|---|---|---|
| Launch | 0.02 SOL | 90% Krewpad · 10% Meteora |
| Trading, on the curve | 1% (50% → 1% in the first 60 s) | 60% captain · 20% Krewpad · 20% Meteora |
| Trading, in port | 1% (DAMM v2) | LP fee, claimable by the locked-LP owners |
There is no hidden fee, no transfer tax and no fee on wallet-to-wallet sends.
Claiming as a captain
Open Your chest: every ship you launched shows its unclaimed fees, and one click claims them to your wallet.

krew-hooks
A small native program (about 37 KB, written with Pinocchio) that implements the SPL transfer-hook interface.
initialize_launch(articles): called once per coin, in the launch transaction. The mint must sign, must be a Token-2022 mint, and must name this program as its transfer hook. It stores the articles and the extra-account list.execute(amount): called by Token-2022 on every transfer. It checks the boarding nets, Max Tx, Max Wallet and the Anti-MEV ring, then returns. It refuses to run outside a real transfer.
It holds no funds and has no admin instructions: there is nothing to pause, change or drain.
Reading a launch
A launch is a DBC pool under the Krewpad config, plus a Launch account at the PDA ["launch", mint] of krew-hooks holding the mint, the captain, the launch time and the articles.
Risks
- Memecoins are risky. Most go to zero. Never trade more than you can lose.
- Articles limit, they don't protect. They cap size and block same-slot sandwiches. They don't stop a coin from falling, and they don't make a captain trustworthy.
- Smart-contract risk. krew-hooks is tested on a local validator against Meteora's mainnet programs, but software can have bugs. Meteora's programs have their own risks.
- Wallets. A transaction you sign is final. Check what your wallet shows before you approve it.
- Impersonation. Anyone can launch a coin with any name. Check the mint address on the token page.
